Welcome to….. Daddy-O’s Patio

Hey, glad you could stop by and catch some of the behind the scenes info that goes on in the Fabulous Blooze Brothers Band. I’m Dave Picco, better know as Daddy-O, alto sax player in the amazing Blooze Brothers horn section. Again welcome.

This year 2020 is very special to me and to my fellow horn section brothers as we are celebrating 20 years together making incredible music! Time passes so quickly it is hard to imagine the guys in our section have been together since 2000. Unfortunately the Covid 19 pandemic has stopped what would have been a year long celebration of our great horn section. We hope for next year to be awesome and have a belated celebration of 4 brothers in horns.

I am blessed to be part of such a dynamic section. You won’t find a horn section anywhere in the Chicagoland area that has a bigger sound and lays down such amazingly tight licks. A quick introduction, as you can find more details on the horn section under the “Band” tab Members. Brian “Mister Fabulous” Finn , trumpet, is the leader of the horn section and sets the musical standard for professionalism for the section. Brian’s solos always bring down the house with his incredible technique and range. Kevin Cline (Big Man on Campus) besides being an excellent trombone player is an accomplished piano player, songwriter, composer, producer and a “rhyming master” that he displays on stage during our show usually on “Sweet Home Chicago”. Andy (AB) Blanco besides playing killer tenor sax is the musical director of the band writing the charts that help define our section’s signature sound. He is also a showman par excellence that thrills the crowds with his dynamic stage presence and his powerful solos. I’m Dave (Daddy-O) Picco, senior member of the band since 1993. I do my best to add a little flair to this amazing horn section. I also enjoy being the band’s bartender providing cold libations during the summer festival season.
